"How do I" Enter waste into Foodtrak |

From the Foodtrak control console:
1. Go to Data Entry>Transfers & Requisitions tab> 2. Choose Waste Form> 3. Once in the Waste Area, it is very similar to creating requisitions within Foodtrak. You can create templates for items, which are disposed of on regular intervals. These are items such salad bar items or cooked items on buffet. The Waste form can also be used for disposing of items damaged or spoiled. (NOTE LOCAL POLICY FOR WASTE ITEMS MUST FOLLOWED PRIOR TO ENTERING WASTE IN FOODTRAK). 4. Choose 5. Go to Header Tab: 6. Transfer ID field is grayed out since it will assign number after the transfer is completed. 7. Transfer Date: Enter date of waste. (In order to properly reflect in the inventory it MUST BE COMPLETE PRIOR TO PROCESSING THE EOM). 8. Time: Local Time if required. 9. Send to: The only location is waste. 10. Reference: Enter local base reference number for the COD or other control log number. 11. Personnel: Name of person entering the form into Foodtrak. 12. Comment: Additional Comments as required by local policy. 13. Go to Items Tab: 14. Choose the items to waste. Recipes can also be wasted using this form. In order to choose the item you can use the field in the lower left corner of the form. 15. Item field in the lower left corner gives you the option to choose, by Name, Reference, Abbreviation, or Barcode to select the item. Additionally you can use the lookup field by clicking the binocular icon at the top of the form or the F8 Key. When the lookup field is chosen it will pull up the database view up on the left side of the screen. From the database view you can search items and click and drag the item(s) into the waste form. 16. Once the form is completed click the red check mark at the top left side of the screen to complete the process. 17. A copy of the waste transfer should be printed out and attached to original COD or other documentation and sent to accounting for processing. |
